Boys Varsity Swimming, Girls Varsity Swimming · AquaRoos Strong in the Pool


The KHS AquaRoos competed in the KISD Monster Mash Swim meet this past weekend. The girls team placed third overall beating both the  Ellison and Shoemaker girls teams, while the boys team placed fourth in front of Ellison. Overall scores place the Killeen High team second within KISD.

On the girls team, Bailey Sanders carried the girls team with a first place finish in the 50 fly, and third in the 50 free. While Jhona McDavid placed 5th in the 100 Free, Bella Sanchez placed third in the 50 breast and Lourdes Aguilar placed fifth in the 200 free. The girls relays swept the competition by placing top three for each of the four relays.

On the boys team, Joshua Sanchez led the boys by placing 2nd in the 50 fly and third in the 100 breast. He was followed closely by Jay Bishop who placed 4th in the 50 free,  Cameron Gaiser and Deandre Hillard both placed 4th in the 50 back and 50 breast respectively. The boys relays held strong as they placed placed top 5 in three relays and first in the final relay beating Harker Heights.
