Cory Jefferson held his second annual basketball camp Saturday at Killeen High School, and the former Kangaroos star was pleased to see the smiling faces of the kids who participated.
“As long as everybody is out there smiling, the camp is going pretty well,” Jefferson said. “If they’re also able to learn something and take something away from it and use it later, that’s a bonus.”
Jefferson, who has spent time in the NBA with the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns after being drafted in the second round by the San Antonio Spurs in 2014, is currently with the Northern Arizona Suns of the NBA Developmental League.
The 6-foot-9, 218-pound power forward played collegiately for Baylor from 2009-10 to 2013-14, where he averaged 8.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
