HARKER HEIGHTS — Killeen head coach Joanne Knowles knew her team needed Tuesday night’s win to stay in the playoff conversation.

It did not come easy as Harker Heights played hard all game long, including a back-and-forth Game 3 and gave the Lady Roos all they could handle in front of a loud crowd.

Led by the sensational play of the frontline of Jacen Moore, Sadee Songer and Brooke Errington, and the dominating serving of Janelle Etherly, the Roos defeated the host Knights 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 30-28).

“We got in a lull in that third set, but my girls came out and finished hard and just stepped up and finished the game,” Knowles said.
