Desperately needing a win, Belton went on the road Friday and delivered a dominant performance over Killeen in a District 8-6A showdown that had plenty of playoff implications.
The Lady Tigers got production from up and down its entire roster, sweeping Killeen 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-23).
Four Belton players — Breanna Farrell, Madison Ward, Jamie Janczak and LeDea Harris — all finished in double digits in digs to help lead the Red and White.
Farrell also had a match-high 16 assists.
“We definitely came here expecting a fight, and had focus I haven’t seen all year from my team” said Belton head coach Krystal Brodbeck. “We still made errors, but we didn’t allow them to stifle our momentum.”
