WEST — The Killeen Lady Roos fell 3-2 to Duncanville (22-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-11, 15-7) in a bi-district playoff match on Monday night.

The Roos had a 2-1 lead over the Lady Panthers, but couldn’t deliver the knockout.

Throughout the entire match, the Lady Kangaroos got contributions from their entire varsity roster.

Alia Vines was a hammering machine for head coach Joanne Knowles’ team, as she led the way with 18 kills.

The 5-foot-10 outside hitter was a force for the Maroon and White all evening long.

“I am proud of the way we fought tonight as an entire unit,” Knowles said. “It’s a tough way to end your season in five sets, but I know we left it all on the court tonight and that is all you can ask.”

The Lady Roos trailed early in Set 1 4-0 before Knowles called a timeout to regroup her team.

The timeout lit a spark in her team.
